Questions

Where do my documents go?

When you choose Find events, Kalender sends the file or pasted text to Anthropic, whose AI model Claude reads it and returns the events. The upload form asks for your consent before anything is sent. Kalender keeps each import for a week after upload so you can review it and download the source, then removes it automatically. Quotes from the events you add stay in their notes. Files you keep on the Files page for Kalender AI stay until you delete them. The privaatsuspoliitika has the details, in Estonian.

What can the AI get wrong?

It can miss an event, misread a date, pick the wrong year or quote the wrong line. That’s why every event shows its quote and page, and why dates the AI worked out, or Kalender counted from a week number, are marked for you to check. For text files and pasted text, Kalender checks in code that each quote is really in your text. PDF quotes and page numbers aren’t checked automatically, so the review asks you to compare them with the PDF.

Which documents can Kalender read?

PDFs up to 4 MB and 30 pages, UTF-8 text files up to 100 KB, or text you paste in, up to 10 files at a time. Image files aren’t accepted. Anything with dates in it works: a syllabus, a contract or project brief, a work rota, a meeting agenda, a fixture list.

How do I see my events in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar?

Kalender gives you a private .ics link on the Calendars page. Calendar apps check it on their own schedule, usually every few hours, so a change can take a while to show up. A subscribed calendar is read-only, so edit events in Kalender. If the link leaks, make a new one there; apps using the old link stop updating.

What does Kalender AI see?

Your calendars, subjects and events, and only the files marked “Kalender AI can read”. To write an answer, your question and the part of your calendar and files it needs are sent to Anthropic. Kalender AI starts only once you turn it on on the Files page, and turning it off deletes the files and chats kept there. The privaatsuspoliitika has the details, in Estonian.

What are credits?

Kalender AI answers use credits: one for a simple question, more for reading a file or planning your week. Each month starts with 100 credits again, and unused ones don’t carry over. The chat shows your balance at the top.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Ask for an invite, then sign in with the Microsoft account that uses the same email. Once the owner approves your account, you can use the website and download the Windows app.

Where does my calendar live?

When you’re signed in, events and completion marks sync with your account. The Windows app keeps an offline copy and sends pending edits when you reconnect. Display preferences stay on your PC. Use Backup & restore to keep an extra copy.

How do I update the Windows app?

In version 1.4.9 or later, sign in under Settings › Account, then choose Settings › General › Update and restart. Older versions need the latest installer once. Your calendars and settings stay as they are.

Ask for an invite

Kalender is invite-only for now. Leave your details and the owner will turn on your account. You’ll sign in with a Microsoft account that uses this email.
